Frequently Asked Questions

What types of tapes can you convert to digital?

We convert a wide range of tape formats including VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Digital8, Video8, and Betamax. If you’re not sure what type of tapes you have, feel free to contact us and we’ll help you identify them.

What format will I receive my videos in?

You can choose from USB drive, DVD, or a secure cloud download link. We typically provide high-quality MP4 files, which are compatible with all modern devices and easy to share.

Will I get my original tapes back?

Yes, absolutely. We return all of your original tapes along with your new digital copies. Your memories are handled with great care from start to finish.

How long does the process take?

Most small orders (under 10 tapes) are completed within 1 to 2 weeks. Larger orders may take more time, and we’ll give you a time estimate before we begin.

Can you transfer damaged or moldy tapes?

In many cases, yes. We can often repair minor tape damage and clean mold. However, some tapes may be too far gone. We’ll inspect your tapes and let you know your options before starting any work.

Will the video quality be improved?

We use professional equipment including time base correctors (TBCs) to stabilize and clean up the footage as much as possible. However, the final result depends on the original condition of the tapes. We always aim for the best possible quality.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes! If you have a large number of tapes, we offer volume discounts. Just reach out with the details and we’ll provide a custom quote.

Do you serve customers outside your local area?

Yes, we serve all of Canada. You can ship your tapes to us securely from anywhere in the country. Local drop-off is also available if you’re nearby.

Is shipping safe?
